Savary Treat, part 1

For one week this August we decamped to Savary Island with Charlie's entourage (AKA, a bunch of our friends). Here's what happened.

We set out on Sunday, August the 6th. This was our gang: Little Fran,
Steph,

Nellie,
Char,

Julian,
Lyndsay,

Loree,
Naomi,

Big Fran,
Justin,

Veda,
Saoirse,

Anita,
Randy,

and Charlie!
DAY ONE: the obligatory "hanging out on the ferry" shot

A week's worth of stuff for 14 people
Our humble estate

DAY TWO: Day two was spent at the beach. For dinner, Veda made ribs, Saoirse made mac 'n' cheese, Loree made saketinis and Char brought cream puffs for dessert
Eating the fabulous ribs

DAY THREE: was rainy. We stayed inside and played board games. Charlie gnawed on Justin's hair.
DAY FOUR: Little Fran and Julian going to the beach

In the afternoon, Justin, Veda and I biked over to the other side of the island to visit "The Mint," self billed as the Savary Island Mall.
The "Saloon." With swings inside!

Steph recently bought property on Savary. In the afternoon we convened at the barge dock (the only way to transport vehicles to Savary) to see her trailer arrive.

The barge dock is located on "the promenade," The old part of Savary. Behind Anita is the Savary Island Tennis Club.
People on Savary like to give their houses cute names like "Iotah"

or "Kingarth." Do these people have another house called "Queengui" somewhere?
That night dinner was at our place. Nellie, Saoirse, Anita and Charlie awaiting the arrival of our guests.

Relaxing after dinner. That's Anna on the lawn chair, a friend who happened to be on the island at the same time as us.
Loree and Lyndsay making desert - peaches, cake and condensed milk - hmmm!

DAY FIVE: Justin giving Charlie a shoulder ride
Beach bum

Mysterious structure
Luka - Anna's son

The kids being industrious and building mysterious structures.
Hmmm. Practicing synchronized swimming routines. I wonder why

Dinner - rockin' chicken and potato made by Loree and Lyndsay
Relaxing after dinner with pear and strawberry margaritas
